The Men of the Missouri Chapter are proud to support our national fraternity's philanthropy, The V Foundation for Cancer Research. The V Foundation was started in 1993 by the late great Jim Valvano and ESPN during his harrowing battle with cancer, and assisted in bringing awareness of the terrible disease into the national spotlight. Today, it is one of the largest cancer research foundations in the country. To learn more about the V Foundation, we urge you to visit their website, and watch his famous ESPYs speech.
We host a wide variety of events to raise money for Jimmy V throughout the year, but we dedicate a week in the late spring to fundraising for the V Foundation. Highlighting the week is our Jimmy V Gala, in which keynote speakers share their own experiences and battles with cancer to an audience of members of the Mizzou community, our members, and our friends and family.
We invite you to visit our donation page to learn more about this great cause.
